Adoption Fees

While some breeders choose to adjust fees based on holiday seasons, colors, or genders, BarMor's offers consistent fees all year long. What does this mean for our customers? Our fees do not change for Christmas, Valentines, or any other holiday, and you won't pay more for a certain color or gender.  All fees are non-refundable.

All of our puppies are $2000.

How to Adopt

Litters will be announced on the nursery page prior to availability. Once we are ready to begin the adoption process, available puppies offered to those on the wait list. Remaining pups will become available on the website once those on the list have chosen their puppies.

Once you have picked the puppy you would like to adopt, please contact via email with that puppies ID information, along with your name, and current address (not PO Box). While we do not employ an application process for prospective families, we do perform a background check that provides us with information we need to approve the adoption. Once that check is complete, we will send you a digital copy of out health contract to sign and return, and a non-refundable deposit request of $400 plus paypal fees.

Once returned, the adoption will be considered final.

Pickup / Delivery

If you choose to pickup your puppy, we will inform you of the date you will be able to do so once the litter is born. Information will be posted on that litters nursery page, and will be accessible until the day you pick up your puppy. If you are unable to pick your puppy up on the announced date, a $25/day boarding fee will be incurred after that. Please contact us ahead of time if you believe this will apply to you.

We do offer delivery, and if you choose to go this route, please let us know as far in advance as possible. We routinely deliver in New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Southern New Hampshire, Southern Vermont, and North Eastern Ohio. We are also willing to meet if you are coming from a point further away from those areas. Delivery fees are based on calculated mileage from our location, and will include any tolls incurred during the trip.

If you live outside of the northeast and would like to purchase a BarMor puppy, We have options available. We WILL NOT ship a puppy via air cargo, however we will meet you at (Rochester (ROC) International or Syracuse (SYR) Hancock International) airports for you to pick up your puppy, or offer an air nanny to bring your puppy to you. This assures the puppy will not only fly in the cabin of the plane, but also be well attended to in the event there is a layover, or missed flight during the trip.  We are also willing to meet in one of the aforementioned states, if you are within a comfortable driving distance to meet us. Mileage fees will apply.

Visitation

Our policy regarding visits:

We require potential customers pick their puppy from the website. We do not allow visits for puppy selection until after they have received their first immunizations. This is done to keep the puppies from being exposed to any foreign contaminants that could cause them to become sick while their immune systems continue to develop. After immunizations are complete, any remaining puppies can be visited with 48 hours advance notice.

We do not allow visits of our home or adults by potential customers. This this done to keep our adults free from exposure of any harmful germs that could be potentially brought into their environment. Customers who have purchased a puppy can visit with the mother of their pup upon pickup if they wish.

Customers who have already placed a deposit and selected their puppy can visit their puppy at any time after they have made a selection. However, at the time of the visit, you will not be allowed to make physical contact with your puppy. Again, this is to minimize potential exposure to any possible contaminants that may be brought into the puppies environment. This will also require a 48 hour advance notice.

Several breeders have experienced issues in past years with sickness in their kennels, including Canine Brucellosis, which permanently shut down two facilities. The health of our puppies and adults comes before all else, so there will be no exceptions to this rule.

If you have any questions about anything not covered on this page, please contact us by phone or e-mail and we would be happy to discuss any details about the process!
